Hands up for solidarity
Not a single drop of hot water. No medical care for the chronically ill. Poor sanitation. A lack of food, of security, of perspective.
A harrowing, but sadly realistic, picture of the situation in Mavrovouni refugee camp on Lesvos. Thousands of people live this reality every day. This should and can be changed.
Boat Refugee Foundation is the only organisation providing primary and emergency medical and psychological care to the thousands of people residing in the camp. Over the past year, more healthcare services have disappeared from the camp. Since last summer, essential services like care for the chronically ill and a psychiatrist for acute distress are no longer available.
It’s time for solidarity! The care provided by our doctors, nurses, psychologists, translators and support crew is vital for the people in the camp. Help us to keep providing this support. Roll up your sleeves too: start your own digital donation box!
