...I will soon be leaving for the Greek island of Lesvos to volunteer for Boat Refugee Foundation. Boat Refugee Foundation provides medical and psychosocial care in Mavrovouni refugee camp on Lesvos.

In the camp, people face not only great uncertainty about their future, which often leads to hopelessness, but also trauma and loss, a range of health conditions, and a lack of almost everything: from safety and privacy to hygiene, hot water, adequate food, and access to medical care.

The efforts of Boat Refugee Foundation's doctors, nurses, psychologists, interpreters and support crew are vital to the people in the camp. In addition, providing health care to dozens of people each day also requires money.
